Basic Sex Positions - Cowgirl or Riding

The cowgirl position is basically the reverse of the Missionary position, and is another very common one.

HOW TO DO IT:

The guy lies on his back, legs together.

The girl straddles him and inserts the penis into her vagina, and moves up and down or back-and-forth to cause the in-and-out motion. She rests on her knees/shins, and can lean down and rest her hands next to the guy’s chest, face, etc. It is also possible for her to extend her legs outward, which will make up-and-down movements harder to perform.

The guy can play with her chest with his hands, rub them over her body, and/or grab a hold of her waist to help control the movements/thrusts. He can help with the sex by pelvic thrusts or rocking his hips back and forth. The girl can sit up and play with her boobs for the guy if desired.

If the girl has learned to control her Kegels (PC muscles), then she can add this into the process to help bring the guy off.

PROS:

Gives the girl better control of the stimulation on her clit, since it is possible for her to push against the guy’s pelvic area. Girls typically get off more frequently in this position than the standard Missionary position.

The position allows for greater face-to-face contact – the two participants can see each other’s facial expressions, etc. It is very easy to kiss each other, and most girls *really* enjoy having their boobs played with (fondle her boobs, lightly pinch her nipples, suck/lick/bite them, etc.)

CONS:

Some girls may experience cramps in the legs in some cases (esp. if their legs are not as toned as they could be).

No others to speak of, though the guy’s inability to thrust as intensely as he might want may be considered less-than desirable.

OTHER NOTES:

It is possible to do anal in this position, though it is not recommended for first-time anal due to the angle at which the penis will be entering the asshole, and the likelihood of it slipping out (esp. with shorter penises).

One variant of this position involves the guy actually assuming a sitting position, and the girl sitting on his penis in the same manner outlined above. This allows for a very intimate, face-to-face, “both sets of hands around each other” embrace that can heighten the sensuality of it. Try sitting there for as long as you can endure it after penetration, without moving – see how long you can make out before you absolutely have to start having sex.
